Description: Sennheiser’s Direct Ear Set 250 blends state-of-the-art electronics and superior design with a new and advanced 2.3 MHz sub carrier frequency which is sufficiently removed from possible interference generated by energy efficient lighting ensuring unsurpassed transmission reliability and clear, natural sound reproduction. The SET250 consists of the TI250 high-energy transmitter and RI250 stethophone receiver. The transmitter provides a radiating power of 645 sq. ft. and connects directly into the audio output of a TV, VCR or compatible audio source via an RCA plug with 1/8” mono mini plug adapter. Automatic gain control ensures optimal transmission. The RI250 is an extremely lightweight (1.6 oz) receiver that promises extended wearing comfort. Individual listening preferences are satisfied with a large diameter volume control, individual left/right balance controls, and low frequency modification capability. An environmentally friendly, Nickel Metal Hydride rechargeable battery powers the receiver for up to 6 hours per charge. The receiver and a spare battery can be simultaneously charged and stored in the transmitter. Sennheiser offers a SET250-J version of the SET250. It features a stethophone receiver with a 3.5mm mono output jack for attaching additional assistive listening accessories including induction neck loops, silhouettes and direct audio input, all of which are compatible with hearing aids. For both the SET250 and SET250-J, an auxiliary microphone is available for audio pickup from the television speaker when an audio output jack is not present.
